Reworked Monster Cards [Patch 10.4.1.1000]

  • Currently it is way too expensive to change your cards from strength only to leather (str-dex-stam-patk) via a second cardset - without losing the maxed out stats. Same thing if you want to switch from defense to hp. I'm talking about 400k diamonds for 2k cards.
    Are there any plans to implement an item that replaces one stat on all your cards with another? Or something similar? I don't mind if it is expensive, but the price should reflect the fact that you are only changing a single stat and don't get access to a second set.

    Are there any news on this topic Rake? Especially since you are planning a major update to the card system in general.
    I don't mean to bother you, but being stuck with a stat that is no longer useful, discourages me from upgrading my cards any further.
    I would highly appreciate any solution to this issue.

    I was understanding, that the additional DECKs were meant to handle this exact scenario, to have different stat-DECKs, but with the cost to upgrade the first DECK, so you unlock the cards for the next DECK.

    Doing this is, indeed, quite expensive, but once done you can switch at any time.

    So, I assume, your changes will make this process easier, more convenient, correct ?

However, please keep in mind that a final decision on changing these mechanics may not happen at all, or the implementation might differ from your expectations—though any changes would certainly aim to improve the current system.     Unfortunately, I didn't quite understand what this is about. Please clarify your thoughts differently, so I can accurately answer your questions.

    I would like to kindly ask if the respawn rates of nearly all monsters at Thunderhoof Hills could get adjusted.

    With adjusted i mean shortened so monsters respawn faster.

    I try to make all cards in that region 3 stars + rn and its way harder than in other regions since low amount of monsters + low amount + high respawn rate :/

  • Further to the above post, I would like mobs to respawn as they do in Redhill Mountains. In this zone, the respawning of mobs is very fast, which is crucial to the proper process of farming monster cards.


  • How can I obtain this Card? I did the Quest, killed the Mobs, canclled the quest and accepted again. But the quest ist automatically marked as done. No option to kill them again.

  • According to the MONSTER BOOK, there are 35 cards in area 750016 [South Janost Forest], but I have 36 cards. It's currently 36/35. I think this can be updated.

    when you manually count the cards, you will see it is only 35 cards in total, as of your screenshots. But this visual bug, as Miraiyu already said, i also encounter sometimes in bagpack, telling me i have 61/60 bag slots used^^ Maybe some internal counter/variable having false definition (1....x+1 instead of 0...x).

    not all healer classes deal good damage. For example, for me, a healer is not the main class for the game, so for me the damage dealt by healers is not so important

    Well stamina wont be important aswell, since msot of the time (99%) you will survive even without stamina in monstercard system or die if the tank fails or for another reason you get aggro :D

    Also i think Brontes mentioned somewhere above that its not planned to change buffs back to wisdom scaling for various reasons - Also from my point of view, if they would revert that, hybrid classes would suffer from it, because hybrids can for example use dmg rolls on weapons now instead of wisdom etc. O.o


    Monster Card System always was for insane min maxers and well it wont hurt a full heal that the buffs now dont scale with wisdom anymore - (since GS scaling is pretty nice and we did not lose anything from it) While for the hybrids this is pretty nice to have still :D


    Also heals are now no longer locked to 2-3 classes for highest buffs idk how this is a downgrade

  • Wisdom is still important in healing formula. The attack, DMG and hp buff change was to not exclude newer players without min maxed gear.

    Furthermore iirc in discord was also said, that there will be changes in future get a bit more benefit from wisdom, but attack buff and others will remain or gear score.


    And from a balancing perspective it was a good move. Gear Score is very limited and can easily be balanced comparing to crazy min maxing wisdom values especially when it comes to new content

  • 750957 [Ice Dwarf Kingdom Ruins (Awakened)]


    The Monster Card in (P) shows 24/24 cards but this is not true.


    There are 101268 [Pangkor] (7th Boss) in the dungeon and this Boss has 770648 [Card - Pangkor] cards. I think it should be 25/25 in total.

  • There are 2 versions of this dungeon, one is the awakened. Pangkor seems to be in the "normal" dungeon.

    But i am not sure if kills in the normal dungeon count towards cards. I think they only count in awakened. But...Pangkor is only in normal mode, so i am not sure. Need to test.

    Kills are only granted inside areas where cards are dropping from advanced system, meaning you don't gain progress from normal mode.


    Awakened mode is also having this card.

  • In the Monster Compendium Thynos and Pangkor do not show up in Awakened overview, they are only listed in normal mode overview.

    Other cards show both dungeons (normal/awakened) in the tooltip, like Eiswächter.

    And there are other Bosses, that only appear in Awakened mode.


    If Pangkor and Thynos appear also in Awakened mode, than i think they miss the respective tag, to be listed in the respective dungeon.

  • From my testing you can drop all boss cards in awakend besides Thynos, for Thynos you actually need to do normal mode or easy since i never saw it drop on Awakend once :)


    Also some of the cards (3) can ONLY be obtained from easy mode and are pretty tricky to obtain since you need to kill the monsters in easy mode DROP the Cards (ANCIENT CARD) and then convert it into new system cards :D


    I know it because i 100% all cards in this area a few weeks ago.


    Sry for caps just a way to make the important stuff stand more out :D
