Class Balance [Patch 10.2.1.1000] & Bard

  • Well from my point of view healing is not much challenging at all nowadays (i can be wrong i know). It is simmilar to buffing as wrl/m: you can do minimum and it will be enough.


    But what i think is most important is the fact, that only thing matters when it comes to heal is if you are able to keep your party alive. Maybe it is true that druid is easier to keep whole raid alive (i feel same) than priest, but to be honest everything depends of each player own playstyle.

    I don't buy the supportive thing of classes like heal/tanks becouse only think that matters is not the fact that you can buff your pt, but if you are able to do your main job (heal/keep aggro).


    In current state of endgame there is nothing such thing as challenge, even whet it comes to tank/heal/dps. People are doing "challenges" like tank with d/wrl, knight without subclass, s/k ;). Heal with full mage gear / solo heal anything. and also doing dps on every single combo that is available for each own items.


    But going back to healers, maybe they need little skill rework/heal values rework/ anything rework? But right now it is rly hard to find good diection in balance becouse, noone likes "nerfing", and i don't think we can do it poperly without new challenge (new WB, new content etc.)


    For what i know for sure is that some classes are better in healing than others, yet that is on almost every role in this game.


    I hope we someday find the Golden mean to please every one ;)

    After a few thoughts.

    I would suggest that Substitue should trigger again with 100% chance (more constant damage, not only luck), but with a Shot damage of 200-230%. That would reduce overall damage of r/s a bit as a first change.

    As i said to you on pm, other 2 rouges in that pt was also r/s ,and they did way less dmg , becuase they dont have your op gear so ,i think thats best way to see that r/s is not that much op,its just you who is op :)

    Today ive tryed r/s on dummy and what ive noticed its 40% miss rate on Fast Draw ive tryed it many times and it was all the time 40% in burst or with out. If any1 can check on that also or it is happening only to me.

    I don't know if anyone has reported (tell me if yes^^) it by now but i played mage/champ today and saw that you can't cast a plasma arrow on Jerath or an organ. I don't think this is intended and hope it can be fixed soon^^ It's a huge damage loss on this boss for the mage/champ. I don't know if it works on other mages.

    I never reported because I don't see how is this a huge dmg loss? For example, it works in b2 or last boss while they are inmune so we get rage recovery and I think is related to that buff. Skill doesn’t do dmg but we still get the buffs which are the important part.

    suggest you use all common weapons like us (T14-T15).

    In my opinion you have navigated the whole game alone and as such is not fair for the weaker players.

    It's funny how a class gets nerfed all the time just because one player's opinion can say the strongest of the server. while multiplayer like us hasn't been tested yet. Too bored for such a game, let's get back to the original game.

  • I don't know what you think, but I have only T15 dagger and T15 gun. Ty.

    I also compare the classes I play with other classes I play. With R/S I do way more damage than with any other rogue. I would suggest you change your playstyle or anything else and don't always mention "you have op gear, that's why". It seems like an excuse for not doing good damage.

    If r/s would not be changed, all rogues playing r/s in future, trust me. That's also why you nearly see only r/s now in groups. Not because the class is totally fun to play, but because the class is totally the strongest rogue.

    You need more precision for example more dex. I tested the class a lot and my Fast Draw is hitting with 100% chance

  • Also for you again: A gear with only 1-2 tiers higher and also a T15 weapon is enough for making 3 times damage than other players with same class? Never ever. This class is (in my opinion) the hardest rogue to play (if you would say, it is "hard to play"). Ppl doing less damage than other rogue classes should change anything, because it is not possible with r/s to do less damage atm.


    I mean, if you play the rogue like someone yesterday, only doing Wraith Attack at Balton, the class is weak, yes. But again: change your playstyle or anything. I know what I am saying here, because I always compare MY class with another class of MINE and not with other players.

    Edit: Like byte said in another thread (Rouge Scout : Fast Draw Bug). 30% is base miss rate of Fast Draw. You see, that it is possible to increase the chance to 100%. But that's just my opinion and I don't know the rogue very good

    I think it is a good solution, that at least at 1 rogue there is a need for precision (for example max dex build)

  • Regarding latest changes of rogue/scout:


    • Changed Blood Poison to modify Blood Arrow to increase physical damage instead of melee/ranged damage, by 51.8%.
    • Changed Substitute to inflict Shot damage with 100% chance instead of 60%.
    • Changed Wraith Attack to have 6% lower damage for each extra target.
    • Changed Fast Draw to do not be interrupted while moving.
    • Reduced Precision focus cost to 50 from 100, changed it to make Fast Draw recover 10 focus upon landing successful attack additionally.
    • Reduced Shadow Figure ranged attack speed gain to 10% from 20%.


    I guess it is the wrong way, if this changes are the intention of buffing the class furthermore. The class was still the strongest and after the patch now, it is even stronger :/

    Is the team considering implementing a magic golden 1 hand hammer? There are classes whose first choice would be a 1 hand hammer. However, there is no useful magic 1 hand hammer currently.

    I like this idea. Would be happy if a magical hammer like the magical xbow would be implemented. With magical attack and heal bonus for mdps and healer :)

    Yesterday I tested the Kn/Wd again and it's a lot of fun, both in the boss and in the trash, provided you have your physical attack buffs ready here. Despite full gold gear and support in the trash, one has too little Patk over long distances and is lost in the offburst compared to other classes. Therefore, I would have the suggestion to change the buff(id:1501194) to reduce the cooldown from 40s to 20s. So you could keep him running permanently and he would be a bit better in the offburst.

  • Since I already wrote that K/Wl needs changes to become viable again, here are some concrete ideas. The class currently suffers from three major problems imho: (general) lack of damage, no "real" rotation (Unholy Strike & Punishment + Warp Charge/Weakening Weave Curse) & being almost permanently out of focus.


    First off, please consider changing the calculation of Charge and the second hit of Shock (the one dependant on the amount of Holy Seals on the target) to mainhand weapon dps light damage.


    K/Wl specific:

    -Change Strike of Punishment: "Can only be used while your target is under the effect of Punishment Seal. Deals 1500% mainhand weapon dps dark damage to the target and restores 50 Focus."

    -> Currently this skill is never used because it's not dps based. Moreover, this suggestion would easen the constant thirst for focus the class suffers from. 1500% may seems high, but don't forget that the class has way less weapon damage than /Wd, a class that doesn't overperform in any shape or form.

    -Add to Shield of Darkness: "Your Truth Shield Bash increases your light damage and dark damage by 12% for 60 seconds while under the effect of Shield of Darkness."

    -> K/Wl lacks in terms of damage increments compared to /Wd and currently Truth Shield bash is never used, because it deals less damage than Unholy Strike.

    -Let Psychic Sweep enhance Surge of Malice as well: "Inflicts 400% mainhand weapon dps dark damage to up to 10 targets."

    -> another "new" skill to use & some additional AoE

    -Change Defensive Mastery to Master of Seals: "Enhances your Holy Seal greatly." -> Holy Seal: "Deals 600% mainhand weapon dps light damage and 600% mainhand weapon dps." 6 seconds cd instead of 10.

    -> Since K/Wl seems to be dps focused I don't see why the class needs another pdef buff. This way Holy Seal could be included into the rotation and would deal slightly more damage than a Unholy Strike (538% x2).
