Couple of thoughts

  • I was tired of Runes of Magic last weekend, and installed this - wow so different! Amazing really well done to everyone, is like a different game and a lot more characters.

    TUTORIALS

OK so when I started, I have all these question marks. They're useful but too many of them (tutorials). I'm wondering if you could consider another way of organising them? eg

1 Panel and group them with a collapse/expand button and organisation tool.

    2 Green - urgent/important

    Yellow - very useful

    Blue - low priority

3 There was a tutorial about disenchanting. I wanted to pin it. I usually click "Got it!" and a tutorial disappears, and I wanted to keep it by clicking the window X button, but it still disappeared. I don't know how to get it back. Maybe a way to "pin" tutorials for later? The pin colour could be white.

    MAP PLAY

1 I installed a few addins, supposed to help with maps, and there's lots of info - wondering if it could be baked in so addins aren't required.

2 I recently posted about a problem with my "follow" arrow, that little arrow that directs me to a quest receiver or NPC I've followed. I don't know if this is a frequent thing, or I broke something. Maybe a reset button would be good?

    TWO STARTING GUILDS

So this was a great idea having a beginning guild. Can I suggest:

1 There's two beginner guilds and the character is randomly put into one of them?

2 That way they can siege. It's twice a day.

3 Maybe characters are allowed to swap into different guilds, but there must be a near-even distribution

    WORLDHELP

OK So I was stuck on a couple of those Morrok/Tony quests where there's a mob and you have to kill them, but I couldn't do it. For Newbies, the guild may not be responsive as they're not there, so they have to either use a megaphone if they have the diamonds and know how, Google it, or give up .. what if like, there's a button "Call for help" and it sends that quest to world chat asking for help. Maybe a dialogue box asking for more info ("I need someone to kill these so I can keep questing") - for free, until max level on any class. Then they should know and have enough experience to use a megaphone. You might have to restrict it so it's not over-used/spammed.

    LOGIN SCREEN

After logging in a character, there's a screen that comes up with lots of useful informaiton about updates, guilds, party, etc - but I don't know how to get it back up unless I log back in. Maybe a button could be good.

If I have any other thoughts that might be worthwhile, I'll post them. Hope it helps, thanks a lot.

    Hello,

    Welcome in Chronicles of Arcadia!

    TUTORIALS

    - You can see all organized in Game Guides frame, accessible from either: F10 (default) or from ESC menu. Here you can also decide if you want to get some tutorials be marked as completed or no, so they can popup later.

    - You can adjust settings how tutorials popup in ESC > Settings > Interface > Tutorials.

    - Idea of colors for priority is nice and will be added to our to-do list.

    - Would Game Guides frame be enough for your issue of Disenchanting or do you think it's still worth to add Pin? Worth to mention that there is Minimize button that should also ensure icon stays above chat right now.

    MAP PLAY

    - There is quite lot of various addons affecting world map to which I guess you refer, so telling their names as well as features you use from them the most, might be helpful. Some of them like DungeonLoots, WoWMap POI or QuestHelper might be considered heavy for some users and implementing them fully might be not something we would like to do, but if you point exact features, we can consider implementing them natively indeed.

    - Follow arrow I think you got already solved with help of Brontes.

    TWO STARTING GUILDS

    - This idea is interesting, but currently not considered to be implemented, as based on our statistics, there might be not many players interested in this from among Newbies, and would contradict with idea of gathering new players in one place for easier finding of similar adventurers.

    WORLDHELP

    - Currently Megaphones are given out in Newbie Packages of different levels, but it might be not enough for some players.

    - Your idea is interesting and might be considered in future, or otherwise increasing amount of Megaphones accessible for Newbies.

    LOGIN SCREEN

    - You must be referring to Assistant frame. You can find it either via shortcut U (default) or at Gear icon dropdown "Functions" in bottom right of screen:

We would be happy to get more feedback from you, as it's very valuable to get it right from community. Also activity with good suggestions might allow you to obtain some Reward Coins (worthful as diamonds) at Activities page.

Have fun exploring Taborea once again!
