Fishing [Patch 11.1.5.1000]

  • When I click on one of the NPC options, "Exchange for Advanced Baits," many options appear on my screen. I want to give all of my existing fish and get advanced baits in return, but there is no such option. To do this, I have to click on all the buttons/options one by one and wait for the exchange to finish.

    • I think it would be better to have an option to exchange all the baits with a single click.

  • Hi,

after changing droprate of golden fish again and again, the level 80 -> 100 quest is a real pain. I only found 1 golden fish until level 80 (with 76! x.x) and now I need to catch one again for the quest. It will take ages, especially with bad luck.

And yes I tried with golden rod as well.

Would appreciate if you change the quest as soon as possible to be more achievable.

    Greetings

    • Reduced Heavy fish rate to 35% from 85%.

how do you get cards from this fish now? An hour of fishing and not a single big fish. Why didn't you reduce the cost of the fish, but just made the catch boring and almost impossible?

  • Hello,

with the new fishing system you also implemented a stronger hero potion version (concentrated hero potion).

The runtime is only 3 minutes, which is compared to the 10 minutes normal hero potion.

If you think about running for example grafu within 30 minutes, you need ~11 concentrated hero potions which is an insane amount related to the materials you need for it to craft (drop rate of the green fishes).

I would suggest to increase the runtime of concentrated hero potion to 10 minutes. This should/could result in that more people use / want to use it, which would boost the fishing economy for lower people to earn some diamonds.

As far as I know nobody, except 1 person in specific moments, of our guild is using the new hero potion so far (except for testing after release).

    Greetings

    • Increased heavy fish catch rate to 70% from 35%.

    I didn't notice this change.

An hour of fishing in the location "Dragon Ridge" with gold gear and as a result:

    Shark - 2 pcs

    Cod - 14 pcs

    Tuna - 3 pcs

    Sturgeon - 4 pcs

    Stingray - 1 pc

Now the question is - how much time do you need to spend on fishing to get purple cards? I wouldn't say that fishing is an activity in which time flies by.

  • Hello,

I have noticed a visual issue affecting specific fishing-related crafting materials. When I hover over or attempt to drag and drop the following items onto another item, the Arcadia emblem appears in the background of the tooltip and stays there persistently:

    • 🟤 1250709 [Ripped Leather]

    • 🟤 1250712 [Wooden Stick]

    • 🟣 1250714 [Fishing Rune]

    • 🟣1250713 [Broken Fishing Line]

This issue seems to affect only these items and does not occur with most other materials. I believe it might be related to the tooltip rendering or item layering within the UI.

Could this be reviewed and potentially fixed in a future update?

    Thank you!

  • Fishing already provides many great and useful items in the game.

I think one more could be added.

For example, a special fishing item that benefits gathering professions (herbalism, mining, and lumbering) would be great.

This item could provide a gathering speed bonus, extra XP from gathering, or reduced gathering time.

Such a reward would make fishing more attractive and add a nice balance to the overall profession system.

Adding further gathering bonuses to the game is currently not planned, as gathering is in a balanced position currently.

  • Hello,

One of the fishing items, 1250817 [Dried Herring], includes the following line in its description:

    Quote
“Cannot be used in Special Arcadia instances.”

However, as far as I remember, I was previously able to use this item in Malatina's Terror Trial (Malatina Mini Game Map).

If I’m remembering incorrectly, that’s fine — but this description doesn’t seem accurate for this map.

    My question is:

Is the Dried Herring item supposed to work in the Malatina mini game? Or is this map considered a “Special Arcadia instance” as well?

I would appreciate some clarification on this. Thank you!

  • I’d like to suggest a small but very useful improvement for the fishing system.

When we catch fish, we exchange them with the NPC to get fishing bait. The two types of bait are:

    • 1210784 [Bloody Fish Bait]

    • 1210783 [Attractive Fish Bait]

    However, there’s a problem.

For example, if I have around 320 fish, I can’t hand them all in at once. I need to repeatedly talk to the NPC, open the dialogue window, click the exchange option, and wait for the process to finish every single time.

As shown in the video below, this requires a lot of repetitive clicking and takes quite a bit of time.

    📎

    My suggestion:

Add a “Deliver All” or “Bulk Exchange” option to the NPC, allowing players to turn in all fish at once and receive the corresponding amount of bait in a single transaction. This would save time and reduce unnecessary clicking for everyone.

  • I think something needs to be changed with the chance of getting monster cards when trading fish. A potion was added to increase the chance when trading, but so far I've only noticed its uselessness. Getting "purple" cards is somehow unrealistic. The chance of catching "big fish" is very low; 10 in an hour of fishing at best.

  • I’d like to share feedback regarding two different fishing-related issues.

1️⃣ Getting attacked while fishing in Aslan Valley:

My favorite fishing spot is [Aslan Valley: 54.9, 17.5], where I usually fish peacefully — or at least I try to.

The creature 100571 [Aslan Hairy Frog] somehow travels all the way from distant hills and valleys just to reach me and attack while I’m fishing!

At first, I thought it was a coincidence, but it happens every single time I visit this location.

It’s kind of funny, but also quite annoying since it interrupts fishing repeatedly. 😅

2️⃣ 1250720 [Fish Flesh Parts] stack size:

The crafting material 1250720 [Fish Flesh Parts] currently has a stack limit of 999.

For players who do a lot of fishing and crafting, this limit feels far too low.

It quickly fills up bag space and requires frequent trips to NPCs for restocking.

Raising its stack limit to 9999 would make inventory management and crafting much smoother.
