    about last patch

    • Disabled possibility to change reputation badge, title and badge titles while dead or in combat.

    why disabled to change Titel in combat ?

    pls exlpain me why !


    i think you should be able to change titles in battle because you can also play smart that way

    if you remove that I think a certain class of the game is lost

    The smart play in certain situations is thus taken away and you are limited to 0 skill play just stupidly hitting it without thinking

    Hello,


    Our team decided to disable it since lately it caused too much advantage of temporary power, making it unrealistic and creating too big gap between no-script users.


    Change was declined when suggested years and months earlier, but nowadays it was decided it's the time.


    It is like you are fighting boss and trying to change your socks to alter poison dmg in middle of getting hit.

    First off, dumbing down the game like that is unnecessary, when there are tools like Arcadia Uitility accesible to everyone that switch your titles for you. Just makes things less interesting for people who want to max out on their class and experiment.

    Have you considered the impact on balancing this change has had? Some classes are heavily impacted by this, others don't care at all.

    What about classes that depend on switching in Raider of the Depths title in order to sustain? Ch/s for example looses a lot of overall damage by having to equip the ressource title at all times. Are those classes going to get compensated?

    What about R/S Fast Draw as Palu already mentioned?


    Lots of problems created by adressing an issue that never existed to begin with.

  • Is there a fix for allmost all the time combat? Since if we start ini most of ini you have combat no matter what so if we start with one title we need to finish it mostly with it

    regarding this title swap change, I suggest the following, that some classes can benefit from:


    Change Resource Cost reduction skills, like "Raider of the Depths", in the way, that it works for skills which cost resource per second like "Rune Overload" from champ and some other skills from other classes.

  • Will using patkfood be disabled while pdmgfood is active, to maximize DoT?

    Will swapping Robot and Bow/Xbow be disabled for maximize DoT and Scout burstdmg?

    What about swapping regular gear items from DPS to Tank to prevent death?

    What about Champion/Rogues, Warrior/Rogues and Rogues who have 3 corrupted weapons or WB Dagger and swap offhand based on attackspeed?

    What about disabling CancelPlayerBuff during combat to prevent resetting buffs with internal cooldowns so you better time their buff when your burst is ready?

    What about making Champion Dissasembly Mode and Shieldform combat only?

    What about Knight/Warlocks who cancel their conversionbuff to tank in a pinch?

    What about classes which are quite complex to maximize their dmg Like Champ/Warden. Should we make it easier to play for the average Bard/Mage DPS?


    This is ridicilous. Please consider reverting this update. These kind of updates are poison to the power of human creativity and mind.

  • Agree with Blackkid, what about semi dps classes(aoe/solo), that swapping titles to increase damage, some classes are living because of title swap. Rwl with daggers spend a lot of energy to main rotation, and swap title to reduce energy cost helps him a lot. Rch, who using deferent titles depending on situation aoe or solo. i think most of warrios and champions do the same thing.

    We do not plan to block any of these in combat as it is doable manually without requirement of searching item in bag, unlike titles.

  • but u can also swap title by using macros from action bars or if u are super fast and can find and use it manualy, idk, really weird change, what about kittycombo, diyce, custom lua scripts to automatization ur combos, its the same as scripts, cheats, whatever, in other games u can get ban for it.

  • At the end of the day, it is in your teams power to decide which update to implement. Any point I mentioned is doable manually, but can introduce an unrealistic gap between script and no-script users.

    However, if the unrealistic gap is justified, if something can be done manually, why not just empower the weaker so they can swap titles manually with a macro?


    Hello beginners. To swap to your preferred maintitle, you can use ArcadiaUtilities and type in chat:

    /titles

    You can enter IDs of your titles you want to swap between and press enter for the next title. Example:

    To swap between badgetitles, you can use a simple macro like this:

    /script SetATF_Title(id)

    Popular Badgetitles:

    20% AoE-damage:

    532149


    -24% ressource cost reduction:

    532136


    Whenever you feel like your ressources are low or you need big AoE-damage, click on any of the one macros to swap between badge titles.

  • I understand that you want to reduce the power of scripters but doing an instance like Orkham where you need to change to loot picking titles in every mini boss and now remove that option because we are permanently in combat is not nice at all. Exclude lucky titles/title system so u can change from/to them allways.

  • Why not make a new kitty-combo version a default in the game , with new conditions like main/badge title swapping? Alternatively, you can share a macro with non-script users to set a specific title, and they can add it to their kitty combo's skill slots. Since kitty combo already allows adding all type of items and macros alongside skills, this would provide them with the same outcome as a script user.

    Combat handler of Realm of Forgotten Legends will be is added to all custom instances to prevent this issue.

    regarding this change so far, I played some runs Orkham and various dungeons.
    First of all, why in hell, you punishing players, who used there time outside of the Game for the Game? Dont you want the players to think about CoA? I mean yes this sounds crazy but as publisher i would love if ppl writing scripts for my game to improve there selfe. Which some ppl do some ppl dont do. - Yes programmer have a bit more success on it instead of casuals. But do casuals tryhard aswell? :) No not at all.
    Beside this, did you ever thinked about how this should work? Even your adding of the rofl combat thing, its not working to change the title at all, beside you using another "trick" which also not everyone knows about. For example im Warrior and i get after 1 buffklick instand combat entrance.... Really nice, i can do really much.

    Lets go further, changing title is like swapping socks in a combat. In a real combat, i cant switch my weapon and do with this one weapon 1 slash and change back to old ones. Beside in the same moment im eating patk food, use anything i have to increase my patk. (Lucky we have global cooldowns on food). You talking about the gap is getting to huge.
    Title are important we all wanna use them. But with you new corruption system + the changes on various classes you created a big canyon between tryhards, normal and casual players. Titles are here one of the lowest problems. I know classes where you need more then 3 weapons to do the most dmg. And meanwhile all in each combat you kinda need to change, which accourse a loss of your energie/rage/focus whatever.

    For myself the point you saying is literally just a new player who cryed becouse he is not in the topic how to maximize his char properly.
    Aswell as you say its unrealistic, yeah... I just pointed out what is unrealistic..

I don't understand these explanations. Many players have already written that without this function, several combinations cease to exist. What will you do next, ban changing weapons? Lack of food during combat or strengthening skills? The title in this whole game between scripts and non-script players is the least of the problems. And although I only use KittyCombo, I can manage to change titles during combat, etc. I never saw a problem with that. Don't take away from us the fun of solutions that actually make this game interesting because ultimately it will just turn into mindlessly pressing '1'."

But all of this changes forces me to do this and tryhard even more. Atleast as Warrior if you wanna maximize your damage output. Same as tank, you need various weapons aleast myself forexample to surive the alarm event in Orkham... Which is not buggy at all *smile*.
    Before the change atleast with some classes you could keep up overall with classes who switched weapons. Now almost impossible.

    Nobody is forced to make T17/T18 weapons. Personally, my best weapon is T16 but I mainly play classes for which I have T15 weapons for.

    I use the gap in gear as motivation to just play better which in my experience is more important: timing+gameplay+better kitty/lua >> gear.

    I guess it is true when they say hard work beats talent (talent=gear) when talent fails to work hard.


    Also in this meta it makes sense to rather make multiple T14/T15 weapons with different attributes and swap according to situation than to make 1x T16/T17. Why should these people be punished? Here again, I would consider weap swap ban as poison to power of human mind/creativity and if too many "dumb down mechanics" are introduced, I would probably quit and play a game where I am more challenged.

  • These problems are really funny. We don´t swap weapons in combat, or titles or something and cleared all instances except Dark Core and Orkham because we have members that are not really ready for it. It tooked me nearly 1 year to farm the gold gear but i don´t have a problem with it. For me this is a social game, where we have more fun to play together than to look who can make more damage. I mean every player has different methods to play this game, but to get upset like here, i can´t understand. Anyway - have fun and enjoy this - old, but gold - game.
