I am not certain on this or an expert but maybe try setting the client to Europe and English. Then try to patch. If it successfully patches then set to Spanish.
My client was set to Europe/English for last patch and I can log in with it set to Europe/Spanish with out an issue.
I hope maybe this will work for you if you are unable to do manual patches.
