  • Game freezes when rotating screen

    Hello,


    Thanks for the report. This looks related to a camera-rotation mouse handling issue we already found and fixed internally, but the fix is not live yet (should come overnight). It affects the mouse lock/recenter path while rotating the camera, so it may also explain the freeze on Wine/Lutris.


    Please do not reinstall yet. After the next patch, try right-click camera rotation again. If it still happens, please also test with Game Settings -> Cursor -> Rotating Cursor disabled and let us know whether it changes anything.

    This has been corrected and will be available from the next full patch.


    Details

    • Cause: The confirmation response window was too short for selected entry prompts, including Atlas Defence.
    • Impact: Delayed confirmation can now be accepted for a longer time, and closing the Atlas Defence prompt no longer leaves the entry prompt locked.

    • Cause: The bulletin board script could select mismatched title quest data in some cases.
    • Impact: A character could be sent to a board quest that did not match the intended selection result.
    • Clarification: The board selection is intended to use the character's highest class level for quest variety.

    Hello,


    We checked the current data and scripts for this report and confirmed the cause.


    The Rain Nahills dialogue flow for 112312 will be corrected with the next full patch.


    • Condition: This affects the dialogue after completing Invitation Courier (423068).
    • Change: Talking to Rain will open the normal main dialogue first.
    • Information button: The festival information option will open a proper information page with a working return path.

    It does not work on the raid version of the boss, because raid encounters and the quest target are treated as different targets by the game.

    We checked the current data and scripts for this report.


    530378 [30,000 cards!] is still obtainable. 102355 [Stealthy Guardian] is also still present and still has 205631 [Unprocessed Rune Energy Fragment] in its drop table.


    Clarification

    • 102355 [Stealthy Guardian]: is not a permanent static spawn at the old known coordinates. It is spawned through a hidden scripted phase mechanic.
    • 205631 [Unprocessed Rune Energy Fragment]: still drops from 102355 [Stealthy Guardian].
    • 205644 [Rune Energy Splinter Bag]: can still be obtained by processing 205631.
    • 530378 [30,000 cards!]: is still obtained from 205644 [Rune Energy Splinter Bag] as a rare result, not as a direct reward from killing 102355.


    The old information is incomplete for the current mechanism. The title has not been removed; it requires triggering the hidden mechanic for 102355 and then obtaining the rare title result from 205644.

    Hello,


    your integrity report does not show an obvious client-file problem apart from the known FDB entry, so this may be caused by something outside the game files.


    Please try the following checks:


    1. Add the full Chronicles of Arcadia game folder to your antivirus / Windows Defender exclusions.

    2. Disable all overlays temporarily: Discord, NVIDIA/AMD overlay, Xbox Game Bar, Steam overlay, MSI Afterburner/RTSS, Overwolf, recording tools.

    3. Test the game in windowed mode and fullscreen mode.

    4. If possible, test with the game folder located on an SSD and outside OneDrive or other synced folders.

    5. While the freeze happens, please check whether the whole screen/UI freezes, or only your character movement stops/snaps back.

    6. Please also note the interval between freezes, for example every 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 30 seconds, etc.


    If the whole client freezes, it is most likely local frame-time/disk/driver related.

    If only character movement freezes or snaps back while the UI/world continues, it may be network or movement-correction related.

    Next Roadmap update will happen once we can estimate release times better. Right now mentioned elements are around 70-80% done, but we can't find expected completion date. They should appear hopefully in next month if no extra delays.

    1. 🎨 Layout
      The layout has been improved.
    2. 🧭 Navigation
      Navigation has been implemented. Additionally, a product dropdown has been added.
    3. 🔘 Right-side button behavior
      The button on the right side has been disabled/blocked to avoid confusion.
    4. 🏷️ Tooltip text
      The tooltip string has been improved and will be included in the next translation update.
    5. ↕️ Scroll behavior
      The scroll behavior has been improved.
    6. 💎 Credits / PNC terminology
      Regarding translations, please see point 7 below.
      As for “Credits” and “PNC”, the PNC page description already explains this as “PlayerNet Credits (PNC)”. Therefore, we are currently not planning any changes in this area.
    7. 🌐 Translations
      All translations are being finalized by our translators and will be updated periodically. Therefore, there is no need to report untranslated elements at this time.
      The Jump tooltip already refers to the hovered element using an arrow.
    8. 👤 Accounts page issue
      This issue should have been resolved earlier. It was related to new accounts that had not logged into the game before.
    9. 📊 Number of displayed entries
      A dropdown for selecting the number of displayed entries per page has been added. We have also implemented this on the Support page.
    10. 🟢 Server status information
      There is already a dynamic bar at the top of the website that appears when the server is offline or under maintenance.
    11. 🏷️ “Opens in new browser tab” tooltip
      The tooltip has been moved to the right side.
    12. 💠 Store and Diamonds navigation
      This is intended to make navigation easier for new players. Additionally, the “duplicate” Diamonds entry will display a timer when an active Diamonds promotion is available.
      We are currently not planning to change this.
    13. 🔍 Search system
      Search results for the relevant pages have been improved.
    14. ✨ Top menu hover areas
      This has been fixed — those elements no longer display the hover visual effect.
