Display MoreHello,
Thank you for the suggestion.
I understand that Vimeo can be used as an alternative video platform, but my concern is not only about YouTube.
In the past, I also uploaded game-related videos to other platforms, including Vimeo and another local video platform. Those videos also received copyright claims from the former rights holder / previous publisher.
So, from my personal experience, changing the video platform does not fully solve the problem.
Also, asking AI about this is not enough for me, because copyright safety should come from official permission or clear rules, not from an assumption.
My concern is not only about background music. It is also about game footage, game audio, and external copyright claims related to the game content itself.
That is why I think a video contest would need clear official rules first:
Is uploading game footage allowed for this contest?
Which game audio, music, and visuals are safe to use?
Can players be protected from external copyright claims?
Is there an official safe upload method for contest entries?
Without clear answers to these points, I personally still see this as risky.
The idea of a video contest is nice, but for players who previously lost video accounts because of copyright claims, this risk is very important.
Thank you.
Regarding music, we've already established that you can use music from the YouTube library. Alternatively, you can check a song for copyright here: https://tubepilot.ai/tools/copyright-music-checker/
Then there shouldn't be any problems with the music.
Regarding copyright infringements on videos, it would be really good if the developers also intervened in our dialogue.
