I have the very same question as OP - literaly 95% same situation....
Was thinking bard main with strong buff capabilities - struggling to choose, reading skills from wiki 
Probably will choose something different than your suggestion, BUT those can strongly help me think of what i do and do not want
Anyway, I also "imagine this game's population isn't what it was back in " the days...
So are there still active players that play/farm/raid on daily basis?
