    when you do the survival game the damage you get is received as a Dot (from staff explosion, bombs and mobs). meaning the time you can not do anything and just have to wait is increased further. this leads to more common situations where you keep getting knocked out of opening the same chests or tiles multiple times in a row. it was for gone for while, but came back. i did not keep track, so not sure when this was. i noticed one instance where the Dot problem disappeared during the minigame and came back again, but this was a one time occasion, that is why this stuck in my mind. since a while this bug is persistent and i would love to see this fixed.

    i am a bit torn on the new cardstones costing diamonds. on one hand i get that this is to drain some diamonds from the server, but would not most players that have large amounts of dias already rolled their cards? that is why i do not get the change and it feels to me more like increasing the barrier for newer players to get into/near endgame instead of targeting the whales you want to drain diamonds from. :/


    as a newish player i have not gone into the cardrerolling system and tried to get the 4 stats i want, i just slot in cards i find with stats that seem fitting. recently from time to time i rolled a card that had unfitting stats to get something that fits with the green card stones. that was so far my interaction with the cardrerolling system. since i am slowly getting to a point where i could think about rolling some cards somewhat properly, i was very much looking foreward to something that not needed some diamonds to do. you have already big diamond drains when starting out, getting/buying equip, buying the best stats, maybe some plussing/tiering, upgrading runes. so you do not sit on mountains of dias for a very long time. to that comes card rolling that needs to be done. so adding this additional diamond requirement seems very strange to me and targeted at the wrong crowd.


    another thought with this change is a rough estimate if i wanted to reroll all cards with decent stats. i am not even talking about near perfect/max here btw. just to get the 4 fitting stats with maybe not a 1 as a roll. as an example lets say per card i would pay around 50 dias for the cardstones, with current prices this seems like an okay estimate i think, it could even be to low. we have around 3500 cards.


    50 * 3500 = 175 000 dias


    this makes this cost 175 000 dias just to roll my cards to somewhat fitting stats - this is a ridicoulus amount of dias in my eyes. when we are talking about getting card stats to max/perfect rolls this will easily double/triple... considering this it is not clear to me if that is even worth it, because whatelse could i do with the dias that is more useful to me as a player?


    it's unclear how "Changed free stores to contain unlimited stocks with adjusted prices." will look like in the end. maybe there will be a discount option/way to roll your cards to a decent level without breaking the bank, at least i hope so ^^. i just wanted to throw that in here to keep the "not stated to the max players" in mind when you change things around. as always thanks for your time and continued effort you put into the game ;)

    for the droprate i thought more equals more rarer (blue) items, which sell for more gold. at least i thought i noticed getting more blue then green items, which i was expecting to sell for a bit more. so my thinking here was "more droprate = more gold". good to know that this does not matter after a point.


    as for farming speed/return, i think i am roughly at a bit over 60 mil per hour. i only do the round before the 1st boss, since i think they take a bit to long with my current equipment, aka usally one of the boss group got time to teleport away. at the moment i take slightly over the minimum time to reset the instance for 1 farm run there ( ~ 1 minute). i was not sure if more movement speed would help me currently due to that, since i need to wait for the instance reset timer anyway sometimes. if i can 1 shot the 1st boss group this becomes more usefull.


    for movement speed, i currently have ostrich, 104 ring, novice adventurer titel, pet (still need to level, but it is not much anyway) and rightside 104 gold armor set. i know one roboter part can give you movement speed and the 104er gold armor pieces, which i miss the left side.


    is there other stuff that can boost movement speed significantly?

    currently i am sitting at 1248% droprate with max buffs as knight/warlock. i am farming vale of rites on easy with crosswords set skill, the alchemist stone (item that converts items 80% directly into gold), parfume and the 120% move speed buff. i am wondering what the best way is to up my return on farming and maybe someone can help me out:


    1. does droprate have an upper cap or limit where you do not get more out of it?

    2. runes are maxed at xiii and can not go higher? i am asking this, because my droprate rune is xii and upgrading this seems like an easy+safe way to get more droprate. so far xiii runes is the highest i have seen.

    3. is there another class that does farming faster or better then knight/wl? i first did rogue/knight, which has good aoe, but suffers from more skillcooldown. similar to that i noticed most classes have the cooldown problem, meaning their skills are not ready when you move to the next batch of mobs. some rogue/x combo would have luck passive and movement speed, but the ones i tried had the same cooldown problem and it did not feel faster to me. maybe my equipment is not good enough to have reached a tipping point here or maybe knight/wl is the most convinient + fastest, i am not sure.

    5. in the romdatabase i saw droprate titles. which one(s) are somewhat easy attainable on this server? preferably without needing to activate the titlesystem thingy.

    6. what % do the corrupted stats increase of weapons with higher tier? my weapon is tier 14 with max droproll, sitting at 324% i think. if i go to tier 15 by how much would the droprate increase? i think i saw t15 with around 328%, but i am not sure on the value and if this is worth the roughly 15k dias it would cost.

    7. are there other droprate boosting things i am missing? i am using the altas buffs and mostly used an old topic on the official ROM forum as a guide.

    8. my farm spot currently is vale of rites on easy. is it advisable to move to a different spot or not and if yes why?


    thx for your time and reading. even if you just know a few things, i appreciate your help.

    i do not use mobile/VPN connection, so sry i can not test that. only thing i on my end that changed was a Win10 update somewhat recently (9.7.), but i think the "longer login" was going on before that too. i am aware that these are usally between provider+server, but since nothing changed on my internet connection i thought to bring it up due to it not going away and being a noticeable difference independent of time/days.


    the login problem for me is not 30mins like kleos wrote, more like a few seconds more or an extra try. before it took me maybe 3 secounds to get from login to the screen with the different characters, usally working on 1st try and i would rarely have to go back to login because it took a bit longer. now it is either a few secounds more (maybe 5ish in total) and very often a 2nd try when a "can not connect" or server down message comes. sometimes it even takes 3 tries, which was before super rare if it ever happended. i thought it might be worth a post. not sure if other ppls have a similar issue.


    i got randomly disconnected once during farming in that time, which never happended before, but i can not say for sure that is related to the login thing, since it was such a rare thing. the login issue does not impact gameplay once i am ingame, at least i did not notice any differences. i hope this helps somewhat.


    edit: will do the ping testing and send you the results.

    since about the origin update it takes longer to connect with more failures etc. this appreared before from time to time too, but now there are more failures to connect. on rare occassion i get "the server is down and in maintence", even tho it is not. this maintenance notice was something that i never got before on failures to connect.


    overall it is just a minor thing, but annoying enough that it is worth mentioning ;)

    hey, i wanted to check in here, maybe it will be usefull for other new players in the future. currently i am on a point where goldfarming is effective, got 104 red gear with a 105 katanna (not corrupted) and somewhat doing well overall i think, since it feels like i am making progress. i got a 2nd gear set with red 104 chain (which still misses some runes) and a 2h hammer. i am nowhere near any endgame content, but slowly moving forward.


    what happend so far:

    after a long grind on some twinks (doing goblin+malatine+dailies) and AH trading i went to phirius stat gear leather. with that i did some arcadia stats farming and still some twink farming to get stats for the red gar and things to sell for the AH. from the AH i got some red 104 gear + a 105 not corrupted katanna, it was simply cheaper then 2 daggers at the time. patience and checking the AH is really your best bet to start out. at this time i still did some twink farming, but with the gear slowly filling with runes and more stats and changing AH prices i got to a tipping point where farming gold was effective.

    before i got all my red gear i sometimes did some card farming, simply to get some minor stat increases from them. they do not add much, but overtime you get a decent boost even if you do not roll them.

    later i got the 30day merchant pet thing and the month after merchant+perfume. both probably the best 2 convinience buys i ever did (next to backpack space, which i add from time to time when needed and on sale). there is a 120% movement speed boost too, but it costs a bit more dias, but is one of the next things i plan to get to speed up farming.

    somewhere along the line i got a celestrial pet from the free wheel spin you got each day and set it to droprate. for the perfume i got an aurora pet from the itemshop. mostly i did farming as a rogue/knight, which has some decent aoe abilities for that. i tried rouge/warden, but my pdef is a bit to low together with only having level 70 on warden.

    recently i bought the knight set skill traces of the cross sword and tried knight/warlock, it seems to be the fastest farming class. i picked up a very cheap 104 red chain set in the past from the AH and a 104 2h hammer, but without the setskill it was a bit lacking. i invested some dias to get strength jewlery + stats too, so i now have a decent leather and chain set with weapons. for farming i am planing to switch to knight/warlock permanently, since it seems a bit more convinient and a bit faster (currently fairly close to my rogue/knight i think due to rogue getting a movespeed buff and minor dropbuff). slowly i am trying to save things for a 104 gold plate set and a 105 hammer with droprate corruption stat. plate is currently the cheapest of the melee armor sets in the AH, but good 2h hammer cost a lot. so both of these upgrades will probably take me a while. on the side i try to level the auroa pet a bit, there are some minor droprate and movement speed increases you can get, not much but they add up and help a bit.

    i tried fishing, but found it not for me. it seems like a good way to get higher level items and cards, so probably sth i need to get to at some point... i planed to do some more card farming to fill the empty slot and get some more stats, but set this on the back burner compared to gold farming. another thing to do is some questing to get more titles, since they give you +1 in each stat for each new title. doing some more quests in talagahn is on my todolist too, but will come later it think. i have not done much in terms of events or crafting, so there is still a lot open.

    the Atlas Defense mode is very much dead in our guild. we tried today again, but looked like nothing has changed. (similar some bosses, where we do not even bother to go to the wb anymore)

    atlas/events/bosses were a great way to get some equip and currency as a newer player and at least try to bridge the gigantic gap that older players have. sadly after the changes this is no longer possible. (this includes worldbosses, where some like sismond/Kolanda/zalkyris have longer not been killed by the community)


    i do get that you want to evolve the game, but in the process took one of the few ways for newer players to catch up (not everyone has maxed out gear). it is already insanely hard to get anywhere near doing some dmg on the endgame things like wb/atlas mobs if you are starting out from zero (without putting tons of IRL money into the game). the game still is very grindy if you are new, these activities were a nice change and gave a good return on your time investmend. anyway, thx for working on the game and all your time and effort. keep the new players and smaller guilds in mind if you do things ;)

    can you make this equipable please? it says not possible when i try and does not give a reason why...


    it says necklace and the other items from the proof of mythos traders at atlas are actually equipable/usable (the multistat items, like frost ring and earrings which i tried). as a new player i thought this is a good way to get some upgrades over the 80 starter gear, well aware these are not ideal. after not being able to equip the necklace, i know from asking in world chat these are "materials" to craft other things, but it would still be nice to be useable.


    continuing on my journey through the morrok questline. some names are missing and a suggestion for a translation change.

    1.jill uses a skill where a name is missing (the price to pay quest)

    2.Questtask has a missing name (Diffuse memory quest from kargath duran)

    3.the part where panilor is mentioned as brother read a bit strange in german. it usally means family relations and the short sentence does not help to suggest otherwise especially with loub mentioned right before (who is the brother of jill in the story and mentioned as such multiple times). the meaning of the sentence should be sth like brother-in-arms, but the delivered context does not give that impression even tho brother can be used as such in german too, so it just reads wrong overall. with both loub and panilor not there the following sentence fits for both too in the german translation, so that does not help either. the english version i found on the wiki, which suggests a meaning like brother-in-arms:


    Now the dragons have finally gone mad and what of my brother Panilor? No one can get him back...


    so a better german translation of "brother" here would be sth like "Gefährte"(aka more in the sense of companion/comrade) or to take the brother-in-arms directly "Waffenbruder" or "Kampfgefährte". "Gefährte" flows better in the sentence and is short - so my favorite, but all would fit there to better deliver the information.

    german grammar and typo during morrok questline magic reconstruction in "Tergothen Bucht" (Magische Rekonstruktion)


    1.[Typo] see screenshot -> "Deshalb" instead of "DeshMlb". pretty sure this was the last conversation before "ein treffen mit rebellen". i did all quest with Madya shioth + bobo scott and asked some questions about the secret guys. during that conversation the last pop up if i remember correctly. i do not think this was technically part of a questdialogue, just dialogue from the character that unlocked after the quest.

    2.last conversation with Will Kanches in quest "Fangt Will", you are missing "der" before 'Menschenkönig'. pretty sure during earlier conversations in this questline in the palast this same issue was present too, aka missing articles before 'Menschenkönig'.

    i played ROM a while back, but nowhere near endgame, so forgive my maybe obvious questions. my main concern is simply if i am on the right course with what i am doing and some things i simply do not know and i feel it is time to ask :/


    currently as a main i am having a rogue/knight/mage at 105/65/63 and some classes at lv50. slowly doing the morrok quest line with them to get them higher, but not really in a hurry there. i have the class/race changes all bought on that char, but nothing higher leveled. mostly play rogue/knight, mage/knight and knight/rogue currently. i am in the newbie guild with 1k+ diamonds left on my char, but the free 5k form the guild dailys already done, so i feel like it is time to leave due to that. i mostly used the dia's for bag space and race/class extensions. i am running some twinks for the goblin-mine and malatina survial game for phirius shells and doing dailys on them to get fusion stones form the phirius shop to extract the stats. some other mini games i have not tried and some i just find annoying, like the 2nd malatine puzzle thingy. my current plan is to get the stats for phirius shell gear for the rogue, aka a leather set, which i think should be better then the starting gear even with not much pimping. for dias i already sold some minor things via auction house, but have not found a good way, probably will be selling the phirius stats. a reliable way to get dia's is still sth that needs to be solved i guess (wanted to try f2p).


    1.assuming it is possible to get near/into endgame as f2p, since the 105 phirius merchant gear can only be plused via the armor stones from the item shop as far as i could see and stating the phirius gear + wings will cost some dia's too and is very time intensive. i am just wondering how far i can get there or if at all?


    2.i am wondering what is needed to get into a guild so i am not just dead weight. most articles/threads i read say support, sth like warlock/x . i would like to be usefull, so i would guess getting the phirius merchant gear would be needed at minimum? if yes can i even contribute as a rogue/x or do i need to switch to stating and leveling support/healing gear for warlock or some other support class?


    3.where would i get a higher level weapon? i saw you can rent some or do i finish the 90+ questline and use what i get there near/at the end? (so far i stopped this questline when i got level 105 with my rogue to save the exp for some other class)


    4.do i pull phirius merchant armor until i get 105+ish durability or just use the daily golden repair hammer and say "it will be replaced later anyway"?


    5.there is a 4 piece and an 8 piece armor set in the phirius shell merchant shop, i was going for the 8 piece set one, is that fine or in which case would which one be usefull?


    6.With the phirius shell stats, currently i try to go for str/str, dex/dex and str/dex (or if the last one does not exist probably dex/sta and str/sta).


    7.if i would stat a support gear set from the phirius stats for sth like warlock, what stas would i go for?


    8.what classes can farm the goblin-mine fast(er)? so far i found low cooldown AoE's or damaging Auras rule:

    scout/mage - flame aura is very nice, so far one of the top picks

    mage/x is okay - not great, but not bad

    knight/mage - is fun with aura, similar to scout/mage

    rogue/knight - fastest so far i found with AoE disarment, which is surpisingly great with the rogue movement speed boost.

    warden/x or x/warden - warden with the power of the wood spirit is great too, so i would guess rogue/warden would be a great combo too. so far only run a warden/scout

    champion/priest - light pulse is fine, but not sure if there is a better champoin/x combo for it?


    9.the weapon training at itnal camp is this needed, if yes at which point? do i just "park" my character there to atk sth and go afk? if yes with a low level weapon or does this matter?


    10.if i leave the newbie guild with my one character i can join via the guy in varanas with another?


    11.i read somewhere i can only get into the newbies guild again if the character has less then 30days playtime, is this per character or if one character on the whole playnet account? (nowhere near that, just wondering for the future)


    12.any daily activities i am missing that are worth doing? maybe sth i can do solo that gives stuff that sells for dia's or is usefull?


    13.regarding my class combo, i really do enjoy the more tanky side of the rogue/knight. it that viable or is some rogue/mage or other rogue/x combo better? since one passive for rogue/knight is for plate armor, is it more beneficial to wear that?


    14.for what classes are the phirius shell stats dex/sta/def/patk and str/sta/def/patk used? so far i have only seen damage dealers with str/str and dex/dex stats and tanks with sta/sta/LP/pdef.

    15.other things i am missing as a newer player?
