A few words about bards
Bard/Scout - At first, I hated the change from the B/S mechanic to the mindless holding down of one or two keys, but I’ve gotten used to it. Oh well.
1. "Soul Whirlwind" skill has too long a cooldown, when you're in a dungeon and need to switch from one mob pack to another or simply adjust the targeting area (since mobs move around a lot). As a result, reusing this ability feels unresponsive—even sluggish.
2. I can confirm that it is impossible to refresh buffs while holding down an offensive skill, and this is a major issue. I see no reason why other classes can do this while attacking, but B/S cannot.
3. Switching targets between mobs has become inconvenient because it has to be done manually. It’s not a major issue, but other classes—using Kitty or Lua—switch targets automatically, giving them a slight advantage. It’s worth considering.
Bard/Rogue - The changes in recent patches are definitely a step in the right direction. Things have improved; single-target damage is slightly better, allowing you to land somewhere in the middle of the DPS charts during boss fights, though AoE trash fights still feel lackluster. Maybe consider changing the "Inevitable Fall" ability so that it deals AoE damage, or at least applies some kind of DoT. I’m using an off-hand build (which is what the class’s skills seem designed for), and compared to magic classes, it’s a disaster—even with the recent buff.
Bard/Champion - I don't even know how to describe the tragic state it's in compared to other classes. It wasn't like this before the introduction of the 3-stat Corruption system. It definitely needs changes because it’s simply scraping the bottom of the DPS charts XD—which is a shame, because it has cool rune-farming mechanics and plenty of AoE skills, yet it just can't compete with other classes at all. It used to be very strong in single-target damage and merely average in AoE; now, both aspects of its combat performance suck.
And finally, I’m reiterating my request: all Bards should be able to play their instruments (lute, guitar, tambourine) while moving. This simply has to happen! ![]()
