  • Hello,

I tested the complete Flying Mount introductory questline added with Patch 12.1.6.1000.

    The 7 tested quests are:

    428586 [Rumors Above Varanas]

    428587 [Trust Has No Reins]

428588 [The Weight of the Wind]

    428589 [The First Ascent]

    428590 [The Four Winds]

    428591 [Proof Against the Storm]

    428592 [The Tailwind Trial]

During the full questline I noticed the following issues and usability points.

    1. Missing Quest List context/grouping for the entire questline

All 7 quests appear in the Quest List without a context/area header.

Other quests are normally grouped under their corresponding context or area, while this complete questline appears without such a grouping.

Could the Quest List context/category data for these quests be checked?

    2. 428591 [Proof Against the Storm] – Completion text does not match the quest

The acceptance text, summary, objective and unfinished dialogue all ask the player to defeat a powerful flying boss and obtain:

    1252197 [Skybreaker Trophy]

    However, the completion dialogue says:

    Quote

Aeris is safe, the beacon burns again, and you can now read the route Kael will use to bring the stranded riders home. You kept your discipline when the storm tried to scatter it.

Aeris, the beacon, Kael's route and the stranded riders are not introduced anywhere else in this quest.

The same text is present in the quest data and in the actual in-game completion window.

Could the completion text assigned to 428591 [Proof Against the Storm] be checked?

    3. 428592 [The Tailwind Trial] – Quest instructions do not match the actual completion NPC

The quest is accepted from 165861 [Benthor Swiftrun].

The quest text instructs the player to:

    - Start the Tailwind Trial with 165864 [Rowan Aeriekeeper].

    - Reach 165861 [Benthor Swiftrun] before the timer expires.

    - Then report the result to 165867 [Master Aeralon].

165867 [Master Aeralon] is located in Millim.

However, the actual quest flow was:

    - I spoke with 165864 [Rowan Aeriekeeper].

    - The timed trial started and I received 1506446 [Flight Trial].

    - I returned to 165861 [Benthor Swiftrun].

    - The dialogue option "Report the completed Tailwind Trial." appeared.

    - I completed and turned in the quest there.

There was no need to travel to Millim or interact with 165867 [Master Aeralon].

    4. 428592 [The Tailwind Trial] – Benthor refers to himself in the third person

During the quest, 165861 [Benthor Swiftrun] displays:

    Quote

Benthor has not yet marked your trial complete. Finish the timed route with [Benthor Swiftrun], then return to me.

At completion, the same NPC displays:

    Quote

Benthor's report confirms that you entered every current at the right angle and never surrendered control. Your flying mounts can now sustain greater speed.

Benthor therefore refers to himself in the third person in both dialogues.

Since the quest text also instructs the player to report the result to 165867 [Master Aeralon], the final NPC assignment and related dialogue assignments may need to be checked together.

    5. 1506446 [Flight Trial] blocks transport without mentioning the restriction

After starting the Tailwind Trial with 165864 [Rowan Aeriekeeper], the player receives the timed:

    1506446 [Flight Trial]

    effect.

While this effect is active, transport is blocked.

A normal transport attempt displays the following system message in chat:

    Quote

Transport is blocked by your current event or some of your buffs.

Blocking transport during a timed flight trial may be intended.

However, neither the quest text nor the 1506446 [Flight Trial] tooltip mentions this restriction.

If the restriction is intended, mentioning it in the quest or effect description could make the trial clearer for players.

    6. 540001 [Geri Dönüş] consumes its cooldown while transport is blocked

While 1506446 [Flight Trial] is active, using:

    540001 [Geri Dönüş]

    results in the following:

    - The character is not transported.

    - No warning message is displayed.

    - The skill still enters cooldown.

Since transport is already blocked by the trial, it may be preferable to reject the skill activation before consuming the cooldown and display an appropriate warning.

This would prevent the player's available use of 540001 [Geri Dönüş] from being wasted on a transport attempt that cannot succeed.

    7. 647971 [Mount Care: High-Rise Handling] cannot be linked correctly

The reward from 428592 [The Tailwind Trial]:

    647971 [Mount Care: High-Rise Handling]

does not create a normal item hyperlink when attempting to display/link it in chat or other text locations.

Instead, incomplete/raw hyperlink data can appear, for example:

    Code
    647971 |Hitem:9e323|h[Mount Care: High-Rise Handling

Could the hyperlink data for this item be checked?

    8. QoL suggestion – 1252196 [Soothing Windherb] stack size

During 428587 [Trust Has No Reins]:

    165855 [Mira Greenbough]

    requires 5x:

    1252196 [Soothing Windherb]

However, the maximum stack size of this quest item is currently 1.

As a result, the 5 identical quest items occupy 5 separate bag slots.

Since the quest requires 5 of the same item, increasing its maximum stack size to at least 5 could improve the quest experience.

    9. NPC Visibility data observation

ItemPreview2 displays "NPC Visibility: No" for several NPCs/objects used in this questline.

    Observed examples:

    110784 [Trista]

    110782 [Tex]

    110333 [Lawdon]

    165878 [Soothing Windherb]

    165857 [Updraft Training Marker]

    165858 [Tailwind Training Marker]

    165859 [Crosswind Training Marker]

    165860 [Descent Training Marker]

    165863 [Elara Stormwatch]

    165864 [Rowan Aeriekeeper]

    165865 [Kael Windward]

    165866 [Ancient Wind Compass]

    165867 [Master Aeralon]

Their locations can still be available/visible during the relevant quest states.

I am not certain whether the "NPC Visibility" field represents the same visibility state used by the quest/location system, so I am listing this as an observation rather than assuming it is a bug.

Could you clarify whether these values are intended?

Are the behaviors described above intended?

If not, could the related quest data, NPC/dialogue assignments, transport handling, item hyperlink data and item settings be checked?

    Thank you.
