Hello,
We would like to start improving class design process slowly as it was already planned since a while.
Class Design team
Wesker & Brontes - Game Design: analysing data, calculating values, preparing documents with changes to be introduced
Byte - DEV: introducing given changes, writing patch notes
Guild Collaborators
We are introducing possibility for each RoFL+ guild to join .PlayerNet Classes chat on Telegram as collaborator by 1-2 representatives of them. It allows to participate more on direction of Class Balance along with giving early feedback. Request for adding someone should be sent via Support with subject "Class Design: collaborator application", can be done by leader/vice-leaders. Select person can be approved or rejected based on decision of Class Design team. Joining person should use their game nickname for transparency and not doubling reports/feedback. Collaborators will get access to planned changes in form of patch notes in real time, created and changed during development. Collaborator will be rewarded with Reward Coins per reported hours spent.
Class Design Moderator
We are looking for Class Design reports moderator. You would manage threads on forum, discord and so on, to ensure each feedback is not missed and answered, even if it's decided to be rejected. This will grant you access to .PlayerNet Classes chat and planned patch notes as in point 1. You should be objective and be open minded to understand concerns of Class Design team while rejecting certain ideas. You can apply via Support with subject "Class Design: moderator application". You will be rewarded with Reward Coins per reported hours spent. Position is open.
Balance Formula
We are looking for more universal ideas on basing balance around. Currently it takes place on runs in most recent endgame instances with our accesses to scrutinizer data and amount of class combos used in every endgame instances. Ideas should be short, along with short argumentation and at least one example. Posted in this thread.
Planned Class Changes
In further future it might be possible to share static (not updated in real time unlike in point 1) planned changes for class balance, updated once per some time. Currently it is not possible without extra effort and being sure patch notes aren't messed up/forgotten in the end. With development of point 1, we can find quick and easy technical way to handle it.
Private Collaborators
If you feel you can put good feedback on certain class and you don't fit into point 1, you can try apply in same way. However such applications might have lower priority if in certain point we would find out that there is quite many people active currently.
Explanations
As you can see with latest patch notes, we will be trying to put explanation on reason of changes.
Readability Improvements
In following weeks we will add some automated colors to patch notes for class names or mana type properties to make reading of patch notes more comfortable.
