Hello,
Slot numbers are actual attachments to each index, so not in terms of actual sorting. Could just do virtual sorting like in housing frame, but it would require some more effort and so then not planned to be made very soon since a lot of more urgent tasks awaiting.

It is already possible to move existing slots around. This should allow you to create groups and sort them bit better without filters.

You can move the icons. Click one and move it to a different number. It is slow and not the best way but if you want to order them, it is technically possible.
