just started playing and sometimes it crashes during character creation
any ideas ?

After clicking create char, or customizing it?
Never heard about crash on this point.You can start from lowering all settings, but character details are mostly used on this screen.

it might be ok now: I lowered character details to 4/6 instead of max 6/6
offtopic: is there a way to get character back to level 1 if did the option of level 80 < thought was part of the tutorial lol -
After you pickup next class, you can remove previous one with fruit of forgetting and start leveling it again.

Creating a new char might be cheaper, you will have to wait 24h after deletion to be able to chose the same name though
